CARSON CITY

We parked at the Carson Nugget Casino while we were visiting this area. I'm not sure I'd want to do that again. The spaces are really small - it's just a basic parking lot that they extended some of the lines. We were lucky and got the end spot so we could at least put out our bedroom slide.

It was a good location for being able to explore downtown Carson City and also to run up to Reno. Another thing I've always wanted to see in person is the famous Reno arch sign. However, I wasn't very impressed with Reno. Their strip is pretty rundown with several empty buildings.

The courthouse in Carson City is a gorgeous building, especially this time of year when all the blossoms are on the trees.

The Paul Laxalt Building was the first Federal building erected in Nevada in 1891. Paul Laxalt was a governor of Nevada as well as a senator.
